Zaha Hadid is a contemporary outstanding deconstructivist architect. Born in Baghdad, on October 31, 1950, the Iraqi-British achieved a degree in mathematics from the American University of Beirut before moving to London, to study at the Architectural Association School of Architecture. After graduating, she worked with the Dutch architect Rem Koolhass, at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA). She then became partner in 1977 and established her own London-based practice in 1980.
