The 9th edition of the International Garden Festival opens at les Jardins de Métis / Reford Gardens and  brings together more than 40 designers from Italy, France, Germany, the United States, Ontario and Québec and exhibit thirteen contemporary gardens. The International Garden Festival features the work of architects, landscape architects, designers and artists from various disciplines. Winner of the Hector-Fabre prize in 2007 for its contribution to promoting Québec beyond its borders, the International Garden Festival has been held every summer since 2000 on a site adjacent to the Jardins de Métis / Reford Gardens. A unique forum for innovation and experimentation, this artistic and tourism event has offered opportunities to more than 200 designers to create gardens to surprise and enchant more than 750,000 visitors. This year’s line-up of gardens offers every imaginable experience, planting, watering, listening and swinging and many opportunities to partake in the beauties of one of the world’s leading contemporary design events.
